There were and are very effective antifouling coatings. However, these were and are mainly used in commercial shipping and are not easily accessible to recreational shipping. We use a silicone hydrogel alternative modified from commercial shipping with a growth protection of 5 or 7 years. With our long-term antifouling coating, this means that the antifouling protection does not have to be renewed every year, but only after 5 or 7 years, depending on the system applied.

This fouling protection system is based on a solid fouling defense coating based on ActiGuard ® technology. Thanks to the additional effect of hydrogel silicone and an approved biocide that prevents fouling, it increases the antifouling barrier and extends the fouling-free time to 5 years or 7 years with a 2-layer application.
The hydrogel-silicone antifouling coating is applied in multiple layers using the airless spray process. A very smooth surface is created, which generates speed increases of up to 10%. The boat starts planing much faster and fuel consumption decreases.

After 5 or 7 years the boat comes out of the water and is cleaned with a special cleaner. Then a new layer of the hydrogel silicone antifouling coating is applied. After that, the boat can be lowered into the water again and you have 5 years of peace from the annoying antifouling issue.

SCHEDULE
01
Preparation hull

Removal of old antifouling via soda ice sandblasting or stripping, scraping and agrind by hand. We prefer wet sandblasting or ice blast removal

substrate treatment
Then several layers of Hempel High Protect are applied as a basis to protect against osmosis. On this layer will be
3-4 layers of Hempel Light 2K primer applied to get a solid sustainable base of the underwater hull.

Pretreatment silicone
Then a
3-component silicone primer processed in 2 layers.
This is the most important part of the complete hull construction. Here the strictest time specifications must be observed

silicone Hydrogel
Finally we wear 1-2 layers of the
2-component silicone hydrogel coating with a total functional guarantee of 7 years on the previously applied special primer.
