Recognize the real underwater image

Developed by industry-leading scientists and certified by Airmar for sonar transducers, Foulfree is the latest addition to the Propspeed line. Notice:

Gloves and safety goggles must be worn at all times.

To achieve better adhesion of the Foulfree™ Transducer Coating to plastic panels (polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, etc.) it may be necessary to use a piece of 40 grit sandpaper (not supplied). DO NOT sand the transducer case or surface as this will damage the transducer and void the manufacturer's warranty.

    surface preparation

Remove any dirt and/or previous coatings from the transducer housing and surface with the provided sanding pad.

If it is very dirty, scrape the surface of the transducer with a metal spatula without cutting the surface. Draw the spatula across the transducer face at a right angle, then use a wet sanding block. Never use a grinder or pressure washer on the transducer surface.

Be careful not to scratch or damage the transducer face.

Info ONLY for plastic trim panels

To improve adhesion between plastic fairings and the Foulfree™ coating, we recommend sanding the fairing blocks with 40 grit sandpaper (sold separately).

    1. Sand the fairing block with 40 grit sandpaper to create a roughened finish.
    2. Remove any residue from the sanding.

    Transducer surface and housing:

    1. Lightly sand/sand the plastic housing and the front of the transducer. Do not abrade or deeply scratch the face of the transducer.
    2. Mask off any areas you do not want to coat with Foulfree™ Transducer Coating.
    3.   Clean the surface of the transducer with the supplied XD-Clean wipe. Remove any residue immediately with a clean, dry rag. Make sure the surface is 100% clean and dry before proceeding.
    4. XDclean:  Clean the surface to be coated with our special cleaning cloth. XDclean is transducer safe and helps improve adhesion between the Foulfree coating and the transducer. Remove any residue with a clean, dry rag.
    5. Application of Foulfree.  We have included a small high quality brush to get the best result.
    6. Puncture the tube seal using the cap. Squeeze a small amount of Foulfree Coating directly onto the brush.
    7. Apply a thin layer of the coating to the transducer. The ideal layer thickness is between 50 and 100 microns. Make sure there are no severe sags or sags. You have 5 to 10 minutes to fix them.
    8. Dry season:  Foulfree™ must dry for at least 8 hours before starting. In colder conditions, 40-60℉ (5-13℃), wait at least 24 hours before launch.

Foulfree™ can be left out of the water in warm or cold climates for long periods of time with no adverse effects.
