How to use Lightspeed
1. Clean the surface.
Before applying Lightspeed it is important that the substrate is perfectly clean and free of mineral deposits.
- Wear gloves throughout the process.
- Delimit the area to be treated with adhesive tape.
2. Prepare the surface with Lightclean.
The Lightclean wipes have been specially developed to remove dirt, grease and surface dirt. Open the Lightclean cloth included in your Lightspeed kit and clean the surface to be coated.
- Clean the surface to be coated with the Lightclean cloth.
- Remove any residue immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
Make sure the surface is 100% clean and dry before proceeding.
3.Application.
Lightspeed is a patented silicone coating that adheres to the bulb's surface, forming a thin protective layer that repels and prevents fouling.
- Lightspeed is applied with the brush included in the kit.
- Put CLEAR COAT in the brush.
Gently apply a thin layer of CLEAR COAT to the focal point. Make sure that CLEAR COAT is spread over the surface as evenly as possible. Avoid heavy stains or splashes, you have 5-10 minutes to touch them up.
Lightspeed sticks to all types of surfaces, whether they're polymers, plastics or glass.
It must dry for at least 8 hours before the boat is launched. In cold conditions (5-13c, 40-6 F) we recommend at least 24 hours. Lightspeed is not affected by being out of the water for a long time in hot or cold climates.
